Guests arrive in Kota Kinabalu and are met by our representative for transfer to Kinabalu Park (approximately 2 hoursโ scenic drive through countryside and mountain landscapes).
Upon arrival, check-in at park accommodation and enjoy free time to relax or explore the cool highland surroundings. The fresh mountain air and lower temperature provide an ideal environment to acclimatise before the climb.
Dinner will be served at the park restaurant. Early rest is recommended in preparation for the hike the following day.

Proceed to Timpohon Gate (1,866m).
Climbers register, meet the mountain guide, and attend a short safety briefing.
0900hrs โ Start Trekking
Begin the ascent through lush montane rainforest.
Highlights along the trail:
Mossy forest and tropical vegetation
Unique pitcher plants, orchids, and rhododendrons
Occasional squirrels and birds
Rest shelters every 1 km
The trail is well maintained with gradual but continuous elevation gain.
Lunch
Packed lunch en route at one of the shelters.
1400hrs โ 1600hrs โ Arrival Panalaban
Arrive at Panalaban Base Camp (3,272m).
Check-in to mountain hostel (dormitory style).
Free time to rest and acclimatise. Enjoy the scenic sunset view if weather permits.
18:00 โ Dinner & Early Rest
Dinner is served at the lodge restaurant.
Lights out early to prepare for the summit climb.
Overnight: Panalaban Mountain Hut

Witness spectacular sunrise views over Borneoโs highest peak โ a truly unforgettable moment and perfect for photography.
0630hrs โ Descend to Panalaban
Return to the lodge for breakfast and short rest.
0830hrs โ Continue Descent
Trek back down to Timpohon Gate.
1300hrs โ 1400hrs โ Arrival at Park HQ
Lunch at park restaurant and receive climbing certificate.
1500hrs โ Transfer to Kota Kinabalu
Return transfer to hotel.

Prices quoted are based on current operating costs, fuel & hotel prices and Taxes imposed by the Malaysia Government. As a practice all international hotels take a security deposit at the time of check-in. The amount is generally blocked on the clientโs credit card or they can pay cash to the hotel.
