Welcome to RA Asia 2026 in conjunction with 1st ASEAN Conference on Point of Care Ultrasound!

On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to RA ASIA 2026 (International Symposium of Regional Anaesthesia Asia 2026) held in conjunction with the 1st ASEAN Conference of Point of Care Ultrasound, taking place from 10th to 12th July 2026 in the beautiful city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Our theme, “Beach, Blocks and Breakthroughs – Surfing the Future of RA & POCUS,” captures the spirit of this meeting — a blend of cutting-edge science, practical learning, and meaningful connections, all set against the relaxing backdrop of Sabah’s tropical shores and mountains.

This unique collaboration between the Malaysian Society of Regional Anaesthesia (MySORA), the Society of Critical and Emergency Sonography Malaysia (SUCCES), and Universiti Malaysia Sabah brings together leading experts, clinicians, and researchers from across Asia and beyond. Together, we will explore the latest innovations and best practices in Regional Anaesthesia (RA) and Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) — two rapidly advancing fields that are transforming patient care in anaesthesia, critical care, and emergency medicine.

Over the course of the conference, you can look forward to pre-congress workshops, plenary lectures, parallel sessions, and hands-on masterclasses designed to enrich your knowledge and skills. Beyond the scientific sessions, we also invite you to experience the warm hospitality, vibrant culture, and breathtaking natural beauty that make Sabah truly special.

We thank you for being part of this exciting journey and look forward to welcoming you to Kota Kinabalu — where learning meets leisure, and collaboration sparks innovation.

See you at RA ASIA 2026!

Sincerely,

Dr Shahridan Mohd Fathil

About SUCCES

Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) has revolutionized bedside diagnosis and decision-making, bringing imaging directly to clinicians and enabling faster, safer, and more accurate patient care. In Malaysia, POCUS was introduced in 2004 and gradually gained momentum through the efforts of local pioneers and collaborations with international experts, notably the World Interactive Network Focused on Critical Ultrasound (WINFOCUS) Malaysia. The establishment of the Society of Critical and Emergency Ultrasound (SUCCES) in 2012 marked a turning point, driving education, research, and multidisciplinary engagement in the field. Since then, SUCCES has trained thousands of healthcare professionals, launched innovative courses, and gained international recognition. Despite ongoing challenges, SUCCES continues to lead efforts in standardization, credentialing, and industry collaboration.
