The Malaysian Society of Regional Anaesthesia (MySORA) is dedicated to developing an improving the practice of regional anaesthesia (RA) and pain medicine in Malaysia in collaboration and cooperation with other speciali]ties and sister RA societies worldwide.
To promote and encourage excellence in the practice, education and research in regional anaesthesia and pain medicine.
We envision a near future where every patient receives the privilege of a pain-free experience through the safe and effective practice of regional anaesthesia.

Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) has revolutionized bedside diagnosis and decision-making, bringing imaging directly to clinicians and enabling faster, safer, and more accurate patient care. In Malaysia, POCUS was introduced in 2004 and gradually gained momentum through the efforts of local pioneers and collaborations with international experts, notably the World Interactive Network Focused on Critical Ultrasound (WINFOCUS) Malaysia. The establishment of the Society of Critical and Emergency Ultrasound (SUCCES) in 2012 marked a turning point, driving education, research, and multidisciplinary engagement in the field. Since then, SUCCES has trained thousands of healthcare professionals, launched innovative courses, and gained international recognition. Despite ongoing challenges, SUCCES continues to lead efforts in standardization, credentialing, and industry collaboration. The journey of POCUS in Malaysia reflects vision, perseverance, and partnership—promising a bright and progressive future for this essential clinical tool.
